Well, yes and no... You also need some material to work with. You need a female 3d model, from which you can make several of your own body shapes, to which you apply skins and hair. You need architectural details and props. All these things, you can download with torrents.
Then you need to learn the program. Be patient and read tutorials about things you don't get right. Lighting is the really big issue - posing a model is simple stuff. It takes a month of dedicated work almost every other night to reach my level (but I might be very slow or very fast, of course - I have no idea, really).
Have a look at "renderosity" and "renderotica" for some good stuff! |

Two experimental pictures I rendered to learn some new aspects of lighting. These are made with "Ambient Occlusion", HDRI image based lighting and Environment Light Transport... Advanced stuff used to simulate how real light works.
No work spent on model/pose at all - just a test render, like I said. But one turned out pretty "artistic"! |

I've got a request for you....
Me and many people here would like to see Nancy (teenfuns model) again in new sets...
But now I lost my hopes..
So.., why you don't try to create a 3d Nancy for a new supersexy set?
Tell me what you think about my idea..

Thanks for the compliment! -It's not a competition though... I appreciate that people just give it a try - and I've only been doing this for a few months now, so I am confident that the others who have just started will catch up pretty soon if they take the time to read a few tutorials and aim high. It's all about not being happy with the level you've reached, but striving further.
I know very well who Nancy from teenfuns is! She's one of my all time favourites also! To model her body isn't all that hard at all, but the face is a bit trickier! In my model "Simone" in this thread (look at picture number "005") - what do you think should be altered to make her look more like Nancy? Should I make her even skinnier? Should I make her taller? Should I change some aspect of her thighs/breasts/buttocks/stomach?
I'll do some trials and see if the results are to your liking!

edit: Isn't her name "Nansy" though? I've always felt that it was spelt strangely, and Nancy seems just like a normal name! |

As requested - a quick test render to see if i can morph "Nancy" from teenfuns: I copied the pose as well as I could, and made an effort to mimic the lighting (which failed, because I tried to find a preset light instead of making my own...).
I think I need to make her legs even longer and skinnier, even though things looked good in my preview window. It always turns out different when rendered! And I need to work on her face, of course.

Hi I was working on a virtual model inspired by the most famous one in this forum...but my pc crashed and I was unable to recover my work. Now I am updating this project. Here is the progress on the face, which has several features hard to reproduce. I will appreciate any comments. The idea is to develop this model as and add-on to commercially available models. If you are a newbie on this, check out www.renderosity.com, a forum devoted to hobbyists and amateurs on 3D design, focused on human characters. Tons of free 3d stuff!!

Why not make that character a freebie for a few select people here at forumophilia, who really appreciate Nancy
Heh, I'd even appreciate just getting her face-morphs - the rest I can manage myself!
I for one realize just how many hours of work you must've put into that face-morph! At least, It would take me forever to come close! I can tweak bodies easily enough, but faces are difficult!

I am happy that some people like my work.
Some technical details: for the head morph I used ZBRUSH, because the dials provided by V4 (the female basic model) are not that flexible. The best you can get with those is what Wilkman did, I am sure. So I sculpted the head using the few pics available in this Thread.
Few comments aside the technical aspects: this girl is so pretty in several ways, that somehow that simplifies the work. If you see, she has the same kind of beauty than Scarlett Johansson. I am sure that if this model wish, she can succeed in media art, other than erotic websites. Is a perfect face and body for pictures... anyway, go back to the details.
Nansy (I guess she is Russian) has a delicate skin tone, a very pale tone with some cute rose-blushes on it. The next step will be to reproduce a texture map that reflects her skin tone. For the image just sent before, I did use a standard texture map, but as mentioned before by Wilkman, THAT is the clue on all this business: how to reproduce the reflection of light produced by the human skin?.... After the render with two plain not very intensive lights, I just used Photoshop to colorize the unsaturated pic. Of course I used the skin tones from the reference picture. You can see how beautiful the gray-green in her eyes contrasts with the gold tones of her hair... Hair would be another project, because I am not very happy with it so far.
Wilkman: still I think I have to work in several details before releasing the model. The basic morph is OK, but requires some adjustments on the poser dials to get a more realistic look. Just compare the first and the second pics, and you will see these differences. Nevertheless, I am thinking how can I help people in the forum that are looking for the virtual model.
This is all for now, I expect more feedback to further correct my work.

Thanks, I guess Wilkman said before: lots of training and patience. Faces are real pains in the ass sometimes, but I have to admit that i have fun shaping them to fit characters......
Lara Croft for example......
I still need the proper pistol(s), the genitals set in general and many other things..... A little CS2 cheatiness involved here..... but that was just for the nipples and so on....
This is mostly to see if I could get the face down...
