This section has rescently blossomed, so I figure it is time to put the general forum posting rules into practise also here.
One Poster, one thread.
I have started a review for older posts and eventually they will not be found in the old place.

An excellent idea and much needed.
In practical terms, then, a poster will either have to select a single celeb or type of celeb (eg Bond Chicks) to profile and name the thread such, or they must have a generalized thread (eg Celebs on my 'to do' list) and use the subject box to identify each celeb. Is that sort of how you see it? |

Consolidation, an excellent idea. Thank you my 'double S pairing" Sugarman and of course Svinto. Putting the celebrity in easy to find threads would help us plebs out enormously eg. French actresses/models [where you might find a E. Beart or a L.Casta] or a 'stars of the 70s Silver Screen', ideal for the early photos of say S. Sarandon or S.Kristel. Thank you Svinto for introducing a modicum of sanity here. My congratulations. KEEP UP THE FINE WORK!

You've mixed in some guy's porn posts with my celeb stuff. Please return them to their owner.
My "consolidated" posts look as if they've been thrown in a bag: replies don't correspond to posts.
And since you've buried all my posts in one thread, I'd like to be able to update the thread title whenever I add something new.
I see some posters have escaped the benefits of this consolidation. Why is that? |

Sorry skirtrazor. for mixing some that shouldn't be there.
I have done one extract before that made it a bit incomprehensive.
I'm working on spare time to sort out some of the mess that was caused by the fact that instead of my intention to move some single posts moved complete threads into each other.
The possibility to change the threadtitle should now be in your control.
Some posters escaping?
New threads should be sorted by the posters.
There are more urgent things to look after in the forum than checking for this single thread policy.
The amount of posts has in the past 6 months increased with about 25%.

ok, i dont understand - are you saying that on the celebrity board, all my posts of different celebrities have to be on one thread, and then i should call it, "Ralphamore's celebrity thread"? or are you consolidating all threads so they are just one thread per celeb - eg all posts about say, Hayden Panettieri go in that thread, all posts about Scarlett Johannsen go in that thread etc?
Personally, i feel it is more logical to go for one thread only per celeb as that way all pictures of one person are centralised, rather than having 64 threads each belonging to one poster, but all having pictures of Hayden or Scarlett on them... Please clarify! |

Doing it your way ralphamore by one thread/celeb would cause a lot of work for moderators to sort out every new poster who doesn't comply.
That would be timeconsuming to have to split/merge, sort since I don't think the necessery discipline exist with all posters.
The one thread/poster philosofy is a lot easier when if there are stray posts they could just be merged into the main post.
Said that, it doesn't necesserily restricts a poster to just one thread.
It also depends on the richness, amount of posts a single user makes.
If you are a very prolific poster you might should post in a weekly thread, or something.
The intention of "post in one thread" is to stop people who will post like ten topics with one picture.
They could then just be summoned into one Topic.
Thouse keeping the listpage clean so you can get a good overview of whats new.

I gotta agree with C_C. I'm putting too much time (average of about 4 hours for one shrine) in threads that get pushed all the way down because of single threads with about 5 pics or people who are trying to get 300 posts by saying `thnx.' A thread like Crazy Chicken's or Fielsk's or Slade's or mine should be stickied. If C_C wanted to, he could post a few celebs a day, as he has been doing diligently (  ), in separate threads, and he'd be getting even more hits than he does now. Thankfully, and mercifully, he doesn't  , but who would blame him if he did?

A real good idea, why don't you merge woohoo's thread on Audrina Patridge with the one i started on Thurs. 3/20, his was started on 3/24, last Mon. He obviously did not bother to look. Mine is on the Same page 1, WTF?
plus, i have the unwatermarked pics now to post. |
