ANY ADVICE FOR NEWBIES : ON JOINING A SITE

My fellow members, I am curious to the sites TO JOIN from a net newbies perspective. This raises the following questions in my mind.

1) How to join a site
2) The best sites in terms of 'after sales service'
3) Downloading : the how and the how not to.
4) Complaint resolution and/or site grievances
5) What is CC BILL and your privacy.
6) What is fair 'value for money"
7) Best 'on a (tight) budget "

1) How to join a site
This is the easiest question to answer, all you really have to do is fill in a form online with your name/address and credit card details. Make sure the page is secure (with a padlock in your address bar/status bar) although most sites use billers like CCBill. Sometimes you can choose your own username and password, sometimes not.

2) The best sites in terms of 'after sales service'
I join loads of sites but rarely have to use after sales service. Most sites are pretty good, those that aren't have probably been discussed here. Many sites have forums too, if you can join these before joining the site do so as you get an idea of how good the webmaster is from these.

3) Downloading : the how and the how not to.
Firefox has an add on where you can batch download images. Photos are normally in thumbnailed galleries across several pages so batch downloading is easy. Look here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3104

Some sites have zips of galleries which makes downloading very easy. Things to check for are download limits (some sites limit how much you can download in a day) and some don't allow batch downloaders. Check terms and conditions or FAQ for details of this.

4) Complaint resolution and/or site grievances
My biggest complaint with sites is lack of updates. Look closely at the previews and see if there is any indication (like dates) so you can see whether stuff is being added and whether it is new. Make sure you have a look in the previews for pages that say how often and with what the site is updated with. This will make any complaint easier because you can say "It says it will be updated twice a week and I have been a member for a month and no updates".

Billers like CCBill allow you to cancel and give a reason for not renewing. Make sure you use this as I'm sure CCBill don't want to be associated with sites that don't hold up their part of the deal.

You will rarely get a refund for a crap site though, just because even if it doesn't update you could still have got several thousand images from it, so it is very rare you will get anything back from a complaint.

5) What is CC BILL and your privacy.

CCBill is an independent billing company and probably the best known one that adult sites use. I don't think webmasters have access to things like credit card details. I have joined probably hundreds of sites and never had a problem with fraud.

6) What is fair 'value for money"

There are a few different types of site. There are personal web model sites which will always offer a bit less in volume but are better sites IMHO because you know what to expect. There are the larger ones (Sexy Goa looks like one...) where there are lots of nameless models, lots of updates but you don't really get to know the models.

Most sites charge about $25 and you should look for something that offers at least 2 main gallery updates a week, plus several bonuses every month. Also regular video updates and webchats are important too.

Raven is a great HC site with BJs, sex and a hot model. Lots of updates
Ann Angel is softer but is a massive site with years and years of content
Ivana is an outstanding site with superb videos. One of my faves

7) Best 'on a (tight) budget "

Have a look at some of the review sites. The Best Porn has a subsection that reviews budget sites and there are some great deals.
