When are you getting this error message? When you trying to open a RAR file? _________________

Not being a Mac user I can't really answer this question. It may be a common error if the wrong software is being used to try to unzip the files. I don't know if Winrar is available for Macs but if it is you might want to try that. _________________

Sometimes a downloaded item will open (decompress) automatically after downloading, and sometimes the message "decompression failed" will appear in the "Downloads" window. When that happens, click on the downloaded item itself (not the image in the "Downloads" window), and if you have StuffIt Expander, it will usually open. After proper expansion, if a ".download" file remains (besides the expanded file), you can throw it away.
