As billyellis seems temporarily (we hope) unavailable, I'm going to go with the next clue given | my-screen-name-sucks wrote: |

I'm pretty sure its Peter Falk and the second part is Princess Bride where he reads a story about Buttercup, but I have no idea what the first one is. Colombo maybe? |
Well done. Peter Falk in The Inlaws and The Princess Bride. The first one is one of the 5 funniest movies of all time, butchered by the horrific "remake" a few years ago. |

OK, that second clue just has to be Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, but I am not Michael Caine buff, so other than Alfred from the recent Batman installments, the first clue could be any one of several MC roles, so I am stuck. |

Well done billyeliis. Correct on both counts so its over to you, mate
(tzman - i'd say hannibal lechter was a bit more than just a miscreant ) _________________ Report suspicious posts with ! |

No shit! Is anyone else a little scared of tzman now?? I guess Jeffrey Dahmer was a rascal and Ted Bundy a prankster.
The filthy depraved miscreant knows what's in the cards. |

I'm going to go way out on a limb and say Kevin Spacey in The Usual Suspects and 21 _________________ Report suspicious posts with !

**Spoiler alert for The Usual Suspects - if you have not seen it and plan to, do not read the rest of this reply.**
And nope - not Kevin Spacey. But good guess, since the clues are a decent fit. I guess I think of Keyser Soze as more of a cold blooded killer than a miscreant. tzman is rubbing off on you, Sugarman.
EDIT: Uh...you know what I mean...
Hints: The cards in question are not playing cards. And this one is an actual woman, not just Kevin Spacey.

(answer below)
Glenne Headly in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (as the Jackal) and What's The Worst That Could Happen (as an astrologer). |

| My apologies for not following up my guess earlier. In my defense my apartment had been invaded by an army of voracious mites (I'm still waging a bitter campaign to drive them out) and it simply slipped my mind. |

Before this dries up and blows away;
