Sorry for getting a little too abstract. But it was such a recent, well known movie that I couldn't come up with anything simple that wasn't completely obvious.  |

I'm pretty sure its Peter Falk and the second part is Princess Bride where he reads a story about Buttercup, but I have no idea what the first one is. Colombo maybe? |
