A friend of mine is looking for a free picture editing software package. Nothing fancy (He's even more of a twelve o'clock flasher than I am). Just something that will change the image size and insert text. Can any of you clever people recommend one please? _________________

For such simple editing stuff I use Irfanview:

You can easily insert text into pictures or change size and it's free..

Thanks for all your suggestions guys but I found one that looks good. Photoplus6 from Serif. It does all of the basic stuff and a lot more besides. I haven't had chance to test it properly yet but it looks like a nice piece of kit (and it's free). _________________

| FastStone ImageViewer. I love it. It's like a mini-Photoshop but not quite as advanced. |
