I am a free user, always been. The longest I had to wait for any download is 2 min. for a very large download. For the downloads of mrbluesman and bdog I have to wait at the most 47 seconds. So I prefer smaller downloads and therefor I won't even think about downloading your large vids downloads.
Keep on with the good work mrbluesman and bdog. It is much appreciated.  |
have you ever try to download 3 or 4 rapidshare files in a short time? the waitingtime will be longer and longer from file to file.

if someone will upload only small files.. it's ok. but please.. not 8 posts per day. 2-3 posts with some links.

what will you do if a picturesets be really large? no download? i have some picturesets with more than 100mb and i think in the next time the most picturessets will be larger.
but.. ok. next time i upload only single picture sets. not in this thread only in my threads.
maybe my uploads are really to large. |

I just did with the downloads from bdog...and the longest wait was 47 seconds.

Depends on who is in the set.....if I really want it....then I will wait all day if necessary but for instance I did not download any of your young-nastia as I only wanted certain sets...and did'nt need the whole download

I understand some of the points you're making but I fail to agree with them. If someone posts three posts (each with a picture set), those posts are, generally, made within a minute of each other. So, at worst, they would probably not make any difference in the location of the threads in this section of the Forum. For example, if I post 3 posts all withing 5 minutes, they might push the thread below me down 1, or at worst, 2 spaces down (assuming someone posts in another thread while I'm posting). That's hardly pushing the other threads to page 2. You said:

To answer your question, no I don't think it's funny, but, as I post this, the last entry on page 1 of Non Nude Babes Fan Club is dated August 9, 2008. That thread has stayed on page 1, then, for almost six weeks without any new posts. Your Nastia and Vika threads have never fallen lower than 10 or 15 in recent memory.
Further, I would say 80% of the posters here post 1 set per post. For me, it's easier. For example, lately, esp. between 3:30 and 6:30 U.S. Eastern time, it's been difficult to even get to this Board. I often get Error 502 or 504 (Bad Gateway or Gateway Timeout). Many times, I've posted and I get the error message after submitting the post and have to wait til the traffic slows down (or whatever the problem is) to repost. Bad enough to have to do that with one link and picture. I wouldn't do it with 3 links and pictures.

Well, with all due respect, I'm not posting to make free users happy, I'm posting to give members of this Board access to sets that they wouldn't have (unless they paid a membership fee). Before I was a premium member of RS, there were small download limits, slow download speeds and long waits between downloads for free RS. It convinced me to get a premium account. Personally, I hate it when posters set the url of an RS link in a box and I have to copy the link (some even will leave out the p in "http" or write the link as flies instead of files) in a new window. Yet, I understand why it's done and don't grumble about it. I am, after all, getting access to sets and video that I wouldn't have otherwise had.

Well, again, I'm not sure how this affects you (other than moving your thread down 1 space) but, in my case, bdog did me a great service by filling in the gaps in my collection. Very gracious and kind of him and he did it quickly. You know, grace, helpfulness and politeness are all in short supply, at times, in this world and on this Board. Plus, again, he did nothing wrong. he posts like I post and virtually everyone else on this Board posts.
And, again, let me point this out. Not everyone wants every set. Indeed, if you look through my RS account, you would see that the number of downloads for the first 5 sets I posted on this thread are wildly divergent. One set has been downloaded 154 times, another 133, another 98, another 122 and another 109. Truthfully, I stopped downloading your Land of Models sets because I did not want every set and was tired of downloading large amounts of mbs when I was discarding half of what I downloaded.
In addition, it's OK, then, to have 1 post for 1 set if the set is 100mbs but not one post for one set if the set is 10mbs? That's a little silly. Some things I've posted in this Forum (Its Sarah Time, for one) were all fairly large mb sets. Others (like those in this thread) are much smaller. And, again, since you have all the Mandy sets, I'm not sure how this all affects you.

Well, again, it's personal preference. In your Vika thread, I don't mind the large downloads because I truly like and appreciate every set. I would dl them whether they were 10mbs or 150mbs. In Land of Models, it would have made a difference (I may, yet, still go back and get everything, but, I need time to download and sort through them). Then, too, I have a good broadband connection, but, a funky firewall that seems to disconnect my internet (for 20 secons or so) at the most inopportune times. Today, for example, I was uploading several Clara sets (totaling about 150mbs) and my internet went out twice (once 89% of the way through the upload and once 69% of the way through). Very frustrating because I have to start the upload all over again.
As to your posting the videos, I really didn't mind. What bothered me about this all was your continual references to small uploads and how you would fix that if it continued (not your exact words, I know, I'm paraphrasing). You know, you could have sent me a pm or even expressed in the thread your concerns.
Sorry for the lengthy post and I hope you understand where I'm coming from. I will post 3 sets a day in quick succession. It's just the way I've always done it and most of this Board does it.
