Hello all hope you are well.
Might as well beat this into your head right away. The only way a forum is able to function is if people post. Please post in the correct section and don’t spam. That is what the ‘Spam’ section is for. However, don’t abuse it as a shameless way to up your post count.
To post pictures upload to this fourm or http://www.imagevenue.com, follow on screen instructions. To upload films use http://www.rapidshare.com or for files larger than 100mb use http://www.megaupload.com.
I use FileFactory (www.filefactory.com) for files larger than 100 Mb, it's much faster than megaupload.
Now to the vids
OK boys and girls heres some info for ya
First on uploads sites , seems no one is ever happy with any of them , remeber its I`M AN IDIOT, ARE YOU ONE TOO ?!? so deal with it !!
Second some movies have to be joind with HJ Split help is here 
Third I do all this for free so if some movies dont give the pass word or say what joiner to use then sorry I often post on 5 fourms at once and some times goof up so sorry U can PM me and I will try and help.
Fourth all the info below is provided free , its up to U to make an informed decision , I take no responsability for any PC issues that arise from using any of this info.

HJ Split
Description: This is a binary splitter/joiner utility. What it means is that it takes a file and simply splits it without adding anything to the individual parts. In the same fashion, it glues several files together without "thinking" about their contents.
Usage: Splitting is easy. Some people have difficulties using this utility for joining files though. First of all, you need the first part, the one with the extension 001. It contains header information of the original file so there's no way around this. Secondly, in 9 cases out of 10, you need all parts. With that said...
* Put all of the parts in a new directory (folder) called "split". This isn't necessary, but it simplifies the process. All parts need to be together in one directory though.
* Make sure all files have the same name except for the extensions 001, 002, 003 etc. STOP! Look again, make absolutely sure that every file has the exactly same name except for the extension. You wouldn't believe how many people miss this.
* Start HJ split and choose join, click in the field that says "files to join", and browse to the directory where the parts of the split file are kept. Click on the 001 file (should be the only one showing). Don't fuck with the field that says "file to restore"!
* Now click Join and wait a li'l while... the joined file is added to the directory!
This WILL work. If you have followed the steps above, then HJ split will join the file. If the joined file is a movie clip and it won't play nicely, then either one of the parts are corrupt (too large or too small) and needs to be downloaded again, or you need additional codecs.
Notes: Make sure all files have the same name except for the extrensions 001, 002, 003 etc.

Download managers allow you to select a virtually unlimited number of files, which are then downloaded automatically from the cue or line-up. Let's say, you wanted to d/l 50 sets from AF. If you did them manually, you would have be there to start the downloads each time a set of two finishes. With a download manager, you set up the instructions once and just let it rip. You should note that some sites have ways of restricting the use of download managers, although I haven't encountered this problem many times. Hope that helps!

2. Right click on the video file and click on Add to archive. A new window will appear (rar window).
3. Type 1000000 on the Spilt to volumes, bytes (1000000 bytes = 576.56 KB)

* Firstly, for videos less than 50MB in size, you can try http://www.rapidshare.de . It also supports splitting up a big file into smaller RAR pieces (50mb or less). There are limitations with this host. Firstly, downloading from them can take time as you may have to wait in a queue to download a file. You can buy a premium account at around $10 via paypal to download any file as fast as you like until you meet your allotted bandwidth.

SCREENSHOTS for WMP
In Windows Media Player, the simplest way of taking a screenshot is by pressing control + I, then saving the image to any folder.
Alternatively, download Windows Media Classic:

In order to make a screen cap, just pause the vid, go to file, and select SAVE IMAGE. Very easy.
How to make screen caps with VLC player.
Just go to vid u want , play it, U can pause the part U want to
capture but U dont have to, I recomend pause for a better quality cap.
The easiest way is to right click in center of vid and U get a menu select snapshot, thats it.
Or ctrl-alt-s.
Or go to menu find video and select snapshot from drop down list.
they're then saved in your "My Pictures" or "My Images" directory. To change where there saved go to settings then from the drop down list prefrennces
then video then pick folder to save them in by using the browse button . I suggest that U make a new folder just to put screen shots in for easy refrence when posting. saved pics (default is png, alternate is jpg) select jpg.
This info has been tested by me on version VLC 0.8.2., to see what version you have open player hit help from drop down list open abot VLC player. Now lets see some screen shots people.
If u want this player its free here. Its the best I have found so far, and It plays all vid files with no codecs needed it plays all TF vids just fine also.

Windows Media Player 9
If you are using Windows Media Player 9, pause the video at the scene you wish to capture. Press Ctrl+i (that's control key plus letter 'i'). Think of the 'i' as "image."
The "Save Captured Image" dialogue will open up. Choose the folder you wish to save the image in -- choose the file type (JPG is the best choice) and give it a file name (default name is "capture.") Click on "Save."
You can't take a screenshot if the program is using overlays to display the picture.
In windows media player you can disable overlays and screenshots will work, I recommend you re-enable them afterwards.
Tools>Options>Performance Tab>Advanced -- uncheck "use overlays" if it is checked. If that doesn't work, turn video acceleration all the way down.

Guess what? It's exactly the same procedure as WMP 9.

How you split and join files with Hjsplit. I found a great site where you can dl the program and they have also a tutorial for splitting and joining. Maybe that helps for further questions

Programs to watch certain videos
I like VLC it plays all and its free. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
Most programs will play *most* types of video. First, decide on one you like. I like good 'ol Windows Media Player, but some others are Winamp, BSPlayer, etc. Everyone has a favorite. I'm sure some others here can add some names to the list.
As for file types...DIVX is a free codec you'll have to download from www.divx.com. DIVX will play on most players, once you've downloaded the codec. Another common codec is Xvid. I don't have a link for it but you can Google it.
.avi and .mpg/.mpeg are video types that should play by default on most players.
.asf I *think* is a Microsoft Windows Media Player format. Don't know how well is plays on other players.
.mov is Apple Quicktime and as far as I know, I don't think anything other than Quicktime will play them.
Hope this helps. If any info here is wrong, I'm sure the correct answer will pop up.

here are two for examples (there's actually 6 in total) but lets say there is just these two.
very first you need winrar or something similar on your machine, which i posted the link for in my previous post. then you have to download them both and it's easiest to have them in the same folder, then open up the first one and extract it or just tell winrar to extract it through the context menu if you have that option and it will draw the information from both part 1 and 2 to form the whole file/s that's archived with in them.

New Screen Capture Program 
I found this program last night when trying to find a key for snagit. I just finished using it to post my desk top. It is by faststone which I have used their image veiwer for two years now and am very pleased with it. This progy is very simple to use ann figure out, besides it is free!

Great to see that you have been able to reconstruct this very informative thread. I remember that when I was fresh to the forum, I red thrue this and found it very usefull. Now when I read it again I still find some pointers that I had forgot about. Also now I will study a bit more about ripping DVD's. Most likely I will learn a bit more there too.

To create screenshots for a full movie or scene the best tool to use is ImageGrabberII -
Run the program and from the file menu open your movie (supports wmv aswell) and then click the stop button. The movie is now open and ready to begin.
Click this button 
and the following dialog box will appear 
Enter the number of screens shots you would like to take of the scene. I do 100 for a lot of movies--Probably best to play around with this to find what you like and this will also depend on how many columns you plan to have in your screenshots (see ImageGrabber settings below).
When you click OK it will go through the movie taking the screen shots and add them to the timeline across the bottom as shown below with two diff vidz for a comparison ..
