RapidShare : problems with RS-free points

Salut à tous,
Hi everybody,

For years, every month, I exchanged 10 000 RapidShare pts against a RS-Premium account, valid 30 days...

But today, it seems impossible!

Nevertheless, my RS-counter shows 18 287 free RS-points, earned with the downloadings of my uploaded files...
And I have also 7 045 Premium RS-points...

I questioned the RS-team but its answer is not clear, especially for somebody (like me) who does not understand English perfectly...

Can anybody give me more explanations ?

P.-S. You know any doubt that since 1st January 2010, the files uploaded by a NON-Premium account will be destroyed by RapidShare not 90 but 60 days after the last downloading...

Have you activated the security lock??

If so, you have to deactivate it before you can extend your premium account.

It looks a bit strange that you have so much free RS-points. Normally i get much more premium points than free points. Have you converted too much premium points (into free points) already in the past?

As far as i know it not possible (anymore) to convert free points for a premium account. So i'm afraid you have to wait till 8000 premium points.

But maybe paste the RS mail here, so we can see what they are saying ...

I agree with what Loui375 says.
The dialog you have tells that you need 8000 Premium points to create the account.
You have 7105.
I have edit one pic in your post since it had your personal accountdata visible.

It used to be 10000 Rapidpoints to create a new Premium account.
That was when you could only get 255 Premium points in 24 hours and the points where converted once a day into FreeRapidpoints.
When they changed to the current system of two types of points they also changed the terms for creation or extension of accounts.
There is a difference between Collector and Premium accounts.
Premium accounts could be extended for 30 days with Free-points.
See attached pic.
Collector accounts cannot be extended since they are free already.
Creation of new Premium account cost the same for both types of accounts.
8000 Premiumpoints.

BTW The 60 day rule applies to large Premium accounts too.
Large Premium account is an account with more than 25 GB assigned to it.
Accounts with less than 25 GB files are kept for as long as the account is valid.

i'm lazy, some abbrevations:
FP: FreePoints, Free RapidPoints
PP: PremiumPoints, Premium RapidPoints
CA: Collectors Account
PA: Premium Acc


I guess the gap between your FP and PP is due the fact that you had already lots of FP before RS introduced PP?
Probably because you've uploaded mainly 'small' (avg. 50 MB) files, too.

PP are generated from Traffic caused. A single 200MB file genarates as much as 4*50MB files: 2 PP (during HappyHour: 0.2 PP)
FP are generated by download (there are limits, how many FP a downloader can generate per hour).


You can use 8000 PP (from a CA or PA) to set up a new PA (like you did before with 10000 FP)
You can use 10000 FP from a PA only to extend your PA for a month.

It's possible co convert 8000 PP to 10000 FP.
FP cannot be converted to PP.

It's NOT possible to set up a new PA of your FP. You have to use 8000 PP.
