Good Poster

I was thinking about this, quite a few times. wouldnt it be good (or at least, would it be possible), to give posters privileges for their own threads?

using my thread for example, I'd love to edit some posts by myself, change some of the model-spellings some users used, edit some of the quotes (sometimes a pic is quoted 5-6 times & within a while the thread looks like garbage)

maybe thats an idea for the reqard-system?

users with xyz posts could get privileges to edit all posts within their own threads.

another idea to reward people might be to change the 30sec. waiting time when using the search function.
would it be possible to minimize the queue time for users with xyz posts?.
I have the feeling that this feature is part of the board-software and not that easy to change.
anyway, these were 2 things I'd like to suggest

Unfortunatly both are Global functions.
Not possible to give Edit or Delete rights to a member without making him/her a MOD.
That would then be for every topic or restricted to a forumsection such as VID CLIPS.
With such rights comes of corse the obligation to also do all MOD dutys.

30 sec delay is both for inbetween posts and inbetween searches.
The setting is a compromise between not letting ordinary posters have to wait to long and preventing spamposting robots to flood the forum.
The second thing isn't a big problem, and hasn't been for a long time.
Worth a try to lower the delay to half, 15 sec.
