flv converter

got asked for a converter from flv into...

1. put the .rar file in a folder u like to use to un-rar
2. there will be a new folder after extract
3. open this folder and double click the pcwM3diaKonv3rter.exe file

Language is german - english - french

4. load the file you like to convert
5. go on options - now setting for the output (perhaps you look at the resolution from original (I do) - also, how many fps (I never take a smaller then 2990 kbit/s), I always use .avi codec .mpeg4 or .xvid
6. have look at audio options (hope you know something about the original - if not - you have to do it by: trail and error

Bevor I got nice results, I mostly have to try two times...

once you start the converter - you can't minimize the program - but click just on the desktop or open a site and the converter will be behind this new site

Formerly i also converted flv-files to another format, but i found it much easier not to convert them, but to change the container file into .avi. This way i can play them with MS MediaPlayer and you can even edit them with VirtualDub (even if it somehow takes a long time with "direct copy").

MediaCoder is open source and it takes you only a few seconds to change the container, you find it here
