Need of a request section???

I don't think I'm the only one to be annoyed by all those who post requests in the vid section and thats their first post.
What this forum needs is a special section or a sticky thread where all requests should be done.
If posted as regular posts they should just be deleated.
Many other forums I frequent has a special section and a rule that says a minimum posting of 30 or 50 before you can do a request.

Wanna hear your opinions guys.

Yep, you have my vote! It really pisses me off when a 1 post wonder makes a request.

I've commented many times on this situation and several people have thought I was just being a jerk. Glad to see I'm not alone in my way of thinking, on this particular subject anyway...

I think a request section is a good idea.

I agree but they never go to that section. So you need to trick them. Make a section titled "The Most Amazing Section Ever To Exist!!!" or something and just designate that as the request section.
I'm sure you'll still get people requesting vids in the wallpaper section though.

Sir_D have made a sticky now in the vidsection.
Ya, I think too, that not everyone will use it and there will be the odd placed too.
Wallpaper section.

With a sticky like that comes also the responsibility.
Read, comments and help from the more seasoned members are a necessity on a regular basis.

well I can't say is is working too well yet. I posted a request in response to the sticky to get the ball rolling and have not seen any replies and loads of other new requests all over the place. I wonder if people have even seen my request?

The idea is good, the 'mise-en-route' is not that good ... Solution? very simple ... organize a specific section at the INDEX with the title 'Requests', and there inside, begin individual threads with the specific question inside ... and also with the possible answers ...


Answering particularly to rosso_rat: I do not remember having seen your question, and sorry to say that I'll not enter the post to see each of the questions that may be inside ... the same 'suspicion' of not being read (your question) is my same 'suspicion' of my possible answer going unnoticed ...
