Under MS Windows? Try SDelete:

Edit: Another program I've heard recommended but have never used is CleanUp:

On a Unix system, I use fshred.

Hate to disagree with a fellow member but evidence eliminator is bad news. Do a google search to find out why.

Evidence Eliminator has been associated with large-scale spam and fud campaigns and with its own spyware.

I consider it an extremely dangerous product.

Thank you Wraith. I did some searching of my own, and while I never had a problem with it, I read a lot on message boards about exactly what you said, spyware, spam, etc.

Better safe then sorry, I uninstalled it and installed ParetoLogic Privacy controls, which I read was rated #1 for 2007. (gotta love Torrent files)

I recommend BCWipe, it's free and certainly gets rid of crap on your hard drive to free up space.
