Hi there,

Can anyone give me some tips on how to set search parameters to find all recent posts??

When I log in, I usually use the "View posts since last visit" (https://www.forumophilia.com/search.php?search_id=newposts) as a starting point. But if I am logged in for a while and want to check to see if anything has been posted since my login, how can I do this? The "since last visit" search tells me that no posts meet my criteria, even though I know there have been posts made since I logged in. And there doesn't seem to be a way to simply show all posts in descending chronological order, which would be the logical way to do this.

Anyone have any suggestions?

The worst part is that I think I "lose" the posts made during my time logged in. When I log in the next time and search for newposts, I think the time only goes back to the time of previous my log out the, so I never get to see anything that was posted while I was logged in.

Thanks!

You might want to try Tape View mode, which shows the latest posts to the entire board, in chronological order. Click on the phrase Switch to Tape Mode, located in the upper left area of the front page.

Aaaaahhhhhhhh. Thank you.

I'm a little embarassed that I have been here this long without noticing the "Tape View" link. In my defense, it is possible that I may have tried it at some point, but there are so many announcements and stickies to scroll through before actually getting to the updated threads that it does not at first glance appear to be a chronological listing. E.g., when I just tried it the first return was from today (5/1) but the second was from 4/28. So at first glance dummies like me looking for the most recent posts may not realize that this link is the solution we are looking for, just that we need to scroll down to find the actual new stuff.
