EASY way to extend the life of a
password for pictureview:

1) Make sure javascript is disabled
2) Log in with an old user:password
3) Change URL. Replace www1 with pub
4) Now download whatever you like
5) ONLY save the ZIP files by clicking the
three options:
Get checked files
Get unchecked files
Get all files

Do NOT click on the pictures.
Do NOT save them with right mouse button.

Let me know if it's working.

Okay, you've been here in this forum for over 2 years, and have 18 posts. Then, you go and bump a 1-post thread from September 2005, and make a shallow beg/request for a free way to access Pictureview.

Shocked Shocked Shocked

That, sir, is the most Balls-Out Bump I have ever seen in all my time on internet forums. I'm impressed, honestly. Most of the time I'd be annoyed, but I do recognize something special when I see it. To quote the movie "Speed" ...

"You're not too bright man, but ya got some big round hairy cajones!"

Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

And as far as viewing Usenet goes, Pictureview does screen out some of the more "questionable" sections if you know what I mean. Plenty of free programs/websites out there that do not do any screening, or so I've heard. I think if you search on "Usenet" even in this forum, you might find some tasty stuff. Good luck. Wink

OMFG. It's amazing how many patriotism bandwagon jumpers there are out there who are suddenly holier-than-thou and challenging everyone else's patriotism. Before 9/11 there was 1 flag in my neighborhood. Mine. Then suddenly everyone got them and started thumping their chests as if they had been great patriots all along. Rolling Eyes

The it-would-be-funny-if-it-weren't-scary irony is that the people who respond to questioning of authority with challenges of the questioner's patriotism are just the kind of people the founder's of America were trying to get away from. But these people who loudly profess to love their country clearly don't even understand their country. It's like redneck fans attending a Nirvana concert and not even getting that they are what is being mocked by the songs. Laughing

Well then you probably owned a flag long ago too. And thank you for your service, by the way.

I remember 4th of July parades as a kid where everyone came out to see veterans marching and to give thanks. Nowadays most parades have been canceled as too expensive, and the only thing people care about are the fireworks. Sad

Well that's idiotic. Just because one branch of government (executive) tries an end-around around another (legislative) in order to undertake a military action that may not have been approved by the government as a whole, it sure as Hell doesn't mean that the incoming rounds that our soldiers were going up against were made out of happiness and pixie dust. I assume from the past tense of your statement that they have changed their 'minds' on that position by now?

That sux - here there is only one legion - they don't discriminate between "foreign" wars and such. I'm not sure why they still call it the VFW down there, as the last non-foreign war was what - the Civil War, eh?
