The fact is that none of those things did happen. When the Lakers gave up countless double-digit leads to the Celtics last year the same thing could be said, that if they hadn't had given up those leads they would have won the series. The fact is that they did and everybody looks at it like the Lakers got steamrolled.
I know it didn't happen, but so-called analysts saying that the Lakers steamrolled the Magic is just flat out wrong. They won two games they should have lost. And yeah, if Garnett was healthy, they would have won the championship, and if the Rockets were healthy, they would have steamrolled the Lakers.
I think as long as they have LeBron they have a great chance of the finals and any other good player they add will get them nearer the championship. Although I worry how much game time Shaq has left in him. I still think Boston (when healthy) are the best team in the East.
I think Shaq is a great fit with the Cav's defensive minded team. If they use him probably, they could be the team to beat in the East. Boston is old and I don't think they will contend next season. The Magic are probably the team to beat, especially if Shaq doesn't pan out in Cleveland.
Magic needs to stay focused in their games. They almost pulled a miracle in game 2 against the Lakers but game 4 is really a stupid loss. They almost lost their series against the sick Celtics. It looks like they will lose or already lost Torkglu. The Cavaliers may be formidable with the addition of Shaq and the team to beat but I would not count out the Celtics yet. They're old but they're probably still good for 2-3 more years.
I'm just glad the Spurs got Richard Jefferson, I just hope it doesn't bite them in the ass. Also, this year's playoffs was definitely one of the most entertaining playoffs I've seen in a while, anybody else agree?
Whatever happens, I don't want Cleveland to win. I hate that ball hog James. He holds it for 22 seconds and wonders why the other four players on the court are "cold". Kobe was like that, but Phil Jackson got him to pass the ball once in a while, and look what happened. It's a team game and you need to involve the other 4 players on the court, otherwise they get cold and can't make their shots.

If Bynum can stay healthy, I think the Lakers have a
great chance at repeating. Jackson always seems to do well
working with problem players(Ron Artest). I live in the L.A.
area and the player I'm most interested in seeing is the Clippers
no. 1 pick: Blake Griffin
Laker fan since Van Excel was with the team. He was my favorite all time Laker until Ariza. Still really, really sad about him going, especially since the Lakers shelled out money for Puke Walton and Sasha Vujasuck. Not that I'm unhappy with Artest, but I'm going to miss Ariza a lot.

I think the Lakers look good to repeat.
Probably will meet the Celtics in the finals.
The Clippers curse lives on. Their top pick,
no.1 in the NBA overall, Blake Griffin, will
be out of action. Fractured kneecap.
Will miss about six weeks.
The Celtics surprised everybody so far, although they lost their chance to be champs again last night. I hope they will be able pull another win tomorrow which will be one of the greatest stunner in the history of the NBA.
