Only its title rips off the popular Richard Chamberlain miniseries THE THORNBIRDS. This PORNBIRDS concerns a group of 4 women who form a sexual workshop for educational purposes, and the results are very ordinary.
Cast is not identified with their roles, though several familiar players stick out. Group is led by Kate, who in an early scene is erroneously called "Anne" by costar Mindy Rae. Gimmick is to invite their husbands/mates to a meeting and try to straighten the guys out sexually.
Maxine (big-nipple queen Jessica Wylde) has trouble with hubby Tony (Rick Savage), who is a narcissist addicted to having them make love in front of a mirror. Mindy as Connie has trouble with Paul (Marc Wallice), who per an under-lit & comical opening scene will only make love in the dark.
Principal issue is with Gloria (unidentified), whose lesser half Dean is dying to sodomize her. Wylde is an advocate for anal sex, so she coaxes Gloria to make the leap in a well-directed central sequence that harks back to those original white-coater porn exercises of 1970. Of course the whole thing devolves into an orgy, and a silly/mindless attempt at comical ending.
Scotty Fox's traditional screenwriter is credited here as Raven Touchstoned - perhaps a Freudian slip revealing her state while concocting this mess. I certainly would have preferred an attempt at religious-themed porn directly aping the miniseries.

As the movie opens, Hugh Casey (John Leslie) is making love to his wife Linda (an absolute Angel).
