lil help?

I need some help ....

media player used to open automatically when i clicked on a sample movie from a web page...now the movie fully downloads before media player will open...and all of a sudden .mpg files will not open in media player unless saved to my hd first...can anyone offer a solution as this is quite maddening...

I'm not a pro but you could try this in Firefox :

Firefox: Tools - Settings - Programs

There you're able to change the actions of all video types in your browser (avi,mpg...)

And hey, with VLC-Player you can watch unfinished videos. You'll find the program from Download.com

Thanks for your effort dingle but I have VLC...and I know it goes against most serious surfer's values but I like IE...I'm just looking to fix the windows vista settings that I messed up so that I can change them back...

i am not a windows guy. but did you update your player recently. in the preferences of the player it should give you an option to load a certain percentage or number of mb before starting to plat the vid. i set mine to almost immediate and that usually does it.
