Had anyone heard if they're going to raise the limits back up? This 2.66gb is killing me!

i think they will in the end. in my opinion it is just to keep the music and movie industry happy after they tried to shut them down. rather than shut down they limit the amount you can download, it looks like they are doing something to protect copyright and the customer still gets to at least download some stuff for free. when the fuss has died down i am sure they will reinstate to at least 10gb a day as they had before.

HappyHours for Premium customers

March 19, 2009
We will now implement HappyHours for our Premium customers, so you can use our infrastructure in the best possible way. Currently, the HappyHours will be active from 2 a.m. until 10 a.m. Central European Time since that is the only time during which there is unused bandwidth left. During that time, only 10% of the data volume you download will be charged to your traffic balance. So if you download 300 Megabytes during HappyHours, only 30 Megabytes will be accounted. This applies also if you use RapidPoints or TrafficShare for your downloads.
The amount of unused traffic that can be accumulated has been raised from 12 Gigabytes to 15 Gigabytes.
Please note that this has to be regarded as a test, and we can reverse the modifications or change the time and percentage rate of the HappyHours at any time if neccessary.

So, what this means is that they will bring happy hours back but only 10% of the points dowloaded will be taken to account? AM i right?
thanks for the info. Happy hours were the only time worth using rapidshare.

The way I read the statement is that a 100Mb dowload will cost you 10Mb of your allowance, or 10Mb of your Trafficshare, or converting your RS points into Trafficshare - it says nothing about accumulating rapidshare points, which are "earned" by file count, not by Mb - or that I what always thought. That's why the RS whores break files into 10Mb RAR files rather than 100Mb or 200Mb, isn't it?

Could be wrong, I have been before...

seems to be a simple enough proposition. if you only download during that eight hour window you get 26GB of downloads for your 2.6GB credit. nothing to do with premium points or anything.

Same here "15 000 MB (+55 GB)" i think it has something to do with our accounts being older? well mine is around 3 years old and it sure aint 2.66gb a day for me... But it would be very rare for me to download that in a day since ive gotten most files ive wanted.

I have never downloaded so mutch in 1 day.
But 2.66 is low, some HD files are very big!
