After downloading the movie clips they play in a "jerky

After downloading two clips from "Video clips" clip entitled " Secret friends.com webcam movies" ref. page 370 - the "Vellery" and the "Ivana" clip, on replay. play in a noncontinious, jerky manner? I've ran across this before. Is it my computer or the post? RS

I just downloaded them and i have the same "problem". Seems that the original movie is recorded with webcam. Since your upload speed is in most cases much slower than your download speed, when making a live session with a webcam the frames (or pics) per second is sometimes set to 15 (like in those movies you menioned). Normal movies have at least 23, 25 or 30 pics per second to make motion smoother.
So there are just some pics "missing" that's why it looks a bit crappy, but i guess it's normal for most webcam movies.
I've looked into the vids and saw they have a very new codec "(wmv9/vc1).
I know that on my (old) pc movies with that codec that are encoded in HD also play very slow and crappy, but that's a problem with my old video-card.
So i don't think it's a problem with your pc.
