Is it from "The Third Man" (1949) with Orson Welles and Joseph Cotten?

So I will try my luck again. Wink

I believe this scene is from "Touch of Evil" from 1958 by and with Orson Welles. The guy who shows us his back could be his co-star Charlton Heston.

You got it!

Don't think it's Chuck in the pic, though. It's the scene at the end where he's walking through the oil wells and Heston is out of shot. The person in the photo with Welles is the guy who's agreed to wear the wire and catch him admitting to corruption.

So it's my turn again. Laughing

It just happened to be that I stumbled over this funny couple, I couldn't stop laughing when I saw them first. Should not be too difficult. Wink

As a bonus try to name the actor in the first pic, once famous now almost forgotten.

A tough one. And I have not been doing well lately.

So I'll say Irene Dunne & Fred Astaire in Roberta (1935)

As for the other gentleman, I think it is: Franchot Tone

I loved him in Five Graves to Cairo (1943) and last saw hin with John Wayne in In Harm's Way (1965).

Please tell me I am right!

Once this is settled I'll proceed with another one.

So, the good news first, that gentleman IS Franchot Tone, but he didn't appear in "Roberta", so I'm sorry to say that the movie isn't correct. Sad
So here's a bigger pic of that couple again. (the girl could be a little tough, as it was a quite unusual role for her)

It's Joan Crawford, isn't it?

"What're wire hangers doing in this closet when I told you: no wire hangers EVER?" Laughing

With Fred Astaire in Dancing Lady (1933).

While we're waiting for confirmation of last answer, I would like to inquire...

Who are this pair of rapscallions?

(Apologies for the quality of the pic; best I could do, I'm afraid)

Yeah, that's it! Joan Crawford in Dancing Lady. Franchot Tone didn't get her in the movie (noone had a chance against Clark Gable!) but in real life! Wink

It's hard unless you have seen the movie and recognise the disguises.

Let me know when you're ready and I'll give the answer.

Very Happy
